Action returns to Tattersalls with December Breeding Stock Sale
04 December 2017
THE action returns to Tattersalls this week where the Kiltinan Castle Stud team are looking forward to consigning an exciting draft of fillies and mares.
The team head there fresh following a successful trip to Goffs where three of their 11 lots sold for over 100,000eu and lot 1025, Awareness, broke into the week’s top ten when selling to Lorraine Bloodstock for 190,000eu.
Kiltinan Castle Stud are offering nine lots for sale including lot 1856, Anzhelika, who is one of just two mares in foal to top stallion Dubawi in the whole sale. A daughter of Galileo, Anzhelika was Stakes-placed herself and is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Angara and Group 2 winner Actrice.
There are also two mares in the draft carrying to the mighty Frankel, lot 1855 My Rosie and 1839 La Mortola. Frankel has made an incredible start to his stallion career and these mares offer buyers an opportunity to buy into two incredibly successful families. My Rosie is a daughter of Listed winner My Branch and a half-sister to eight winners notably Haydock Sprint Cup (G1) winner Tante Rose and Sweet Solera winner Bay Tree. She is also a half-sister to Rosie’s Posy, dam of Classic winner Make Believe and Grade 1 US scorer Dubawi Heights.
La Mortola is a daughter of Dubawi and Barathea mare Claba Di San Jore. She is a half-sister to no less than three Group 1 winners (Jakkalberry, Crackerjack King and Awelmarduk) and two further Stakes winners.
Lot 1784 Dorcas Lane is sure to be popular as she is a proven producer as the dam of this year’s Royal Ascot winner Atty Persse. A Listed winner herself, she comes from the family of Harayir and Tryster and is in foal to first season sire Kingman.
