THE Watership Down Stud-bred Frankel ex Dar Re Mi colt is one of 18 yearlings of the first crop by the star racehorse entered at Tattersalls Book 1 sale in October. Frankel now stands at Juddmonte's Banstead Manor Stud.

This colt is the third foal out of Singspiel mare Dar Re Mi, who won three Group 1s for Lord and Lady Lloyd-Webber during her racing career.

Dar Re Mi’s second foal, a filly by Dubawi, has been retained and is in training with John Gosden.

Dar Re Mi is a daughter of the outstanding mare Darara, who a Group 1 winner before becoming a foundation mare for Watership Down Stud.

In addition to Dar Re Mi, she produced three other top-flight winners including Rewilding, winner of the Dubai Sheema Classic and Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Watership Down Stud is also set to consign two other yearlings by Frankel at Tattersalls; a colt out of Dorcas Lane and a colt out of Icon Project.

The former is the first foal out the Listed winning Norse Dancer mare Dorcas Lane. He is related to the champion filly Harayir and this year’s Winter Derby winner Tryster.
